The light heavyweight title is on the line in what looks like it will be one of the best top-to-bottom fight cards of the year in mixed martial arts at UFC 128 on Saturday night. My pay-per-view predictions are right here.
What: UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones
Where: Prudential Center, Newark
When: Saturday, with a Facebook stream starting at 8 p.m. ET, the Spike TV undercard fights at 9 and the pay-per-view at 10.

Melvin Manhoef will never change: He’s a great striker who simply has no ground game whatsoever. And that’s what he showed in losing by first-round submission to Tim Kennedy on Saturday night’s Strikeforce card.
Although Manhoef did land some of his trademark leg kicks early, that didn’t last: Kennedy secured a takedown, got Manhoef’s back on the ground and got Menhoef to tap to a rear-naked choke. It was Kennedy’s seventh career win by submission, and Manhoef’s sixth career loss by submission.

A recent movie date for Timothy Busfield didn’t go as planned, apparently.
The woman is now accusing the famed actor of sexual battery after he took her to the ArcLight theaters in Sherman Oaks, Calif., Wednesday night.
Sources say that the two began kissing during the movie, but the woman claims that an assertive Busfield groped her in the breast and genital areas.
She wasn’t a fan.
TMZ reports that the woman abruptly ended the date and went to the police the next day, filing a report against Busfield alleging sexual battery.
Police are investigating the claims.
The actor, best known for The West Wing, Thirtysomething, Field of Dreams and Revenge of the Nerds, hasn’t been arrested or charged in the case.

Cormier’s path to MMA has been far from easy. After not competing in the Olympics because of a kidney problem after making weight, he stepped away from competition. MMA gave him a place to enjoy competition again. Since his first bout in Sept. of 2009, Cormier has put together an 8-0 record, including a memorable knockout of Antonio Silva.
